Initial FitSwop FAQ: Your Questions Answered

We are on a mission to create an intentional culture of fitness professionals. Supporting each other and creating more worth out of our programming that we all know has taken a lot of hard work and sweat. We have a people first attitude, a fit pro attitude.

General questions:

  • What is FitSwop?
    FitSwop is the first online marketplace created to bring more value to you, and fit pros like you everywhere. We want all fit pros to have access to the content and materials they need to be successful. Fresh inspiration for your classes and clients all while supporting a growing community of likeminded people. Individuals with a passion to share their content and creativity. FitSwop is powered by people like you!
  • Why FitSwop?
    Our mission at FitSwop is two-fold:
    • To inspire every fit pro, by providing a variety of content easy to find, and all in one place.
    • To empower accredited fit pros to open shop and unlock new streams of revenue.
  • Is there a membership fee to join FitSwop?
    No! Membership is completely free and easy.
  • Do I have to be a member to shop?
    No, anyone can view our site and shop our catalog. Go ahead, take a look.
  • What are the membership options?
    When you make your first purchase, you’ll automatically be registered with a Buyer Membership.
    When you’re ready to start selling, you can sign up with a Seller Membership. It’s that easy. (Already a Buyer? No problem. You can upgrade your membership at any time for free to become a Seller.)

Seller Questions:

  • What are the pre-requisites to be a seller on FitSwop?
    We require that all sellers are at least 18 years of age and qualified as a fitness professional (submission of certifications and education reviewed by our team prior to approval as seller).
    Content creation must be yours, and yours alone.
  • Can I keep my own website?
    Of course! We at FitSwop encourage sellers to have their own websites, blogs, and otherwise (although this is not a requirement). Our only stipulation is prices must be the same or less on FitSwop. This gives you multiple places to market your products, and the FitSwop team will work hard to push your products and help you gain more traffic!
  • I sell my products to clients, why should I sell to fitness professionals?
    Create another source of revenue! If you have worked hard to create a health, nutrition, or fitness program, this is marketable to not only the people you work with (direct sales) but also to people that do what you do. New fitness professionals in the field also need help creating their initial programs, and you can help with that. Pay it forward!
  • How does FitSwop make a profit?
    Similar to other ecommerce platforms, FitSwop keeps a percentage of each sale to maintain the necessary logistics and costs necessary to “keep the light’s on”. Specific payout rates can be found here.

Buyer Questions:

  • Are there any hidden fees to purchase content?
    Nope. You only pay for the content you purchase. All content is a la carte and prices are set by each individual fit shop owner.  You can choose to find content from one of your favorite fit pros, or shop around for great ideas!
  • I have a question about the content I purchased, who should I contact?
    Your content is directly purchased from the fitness professional’s shop, and therefore they are the first line of contact for any questions that may arise regarding the product.
  • What is so great about buying from FitSwop?
    You are buying directly from the fitness professional. Pro to pro marketplaces are successful because they are communities built on the foundation of supporting pros like yourself. We take care of each other! It also provides you as a buyer the means of finding all that is out there in one place.
  • What is your return policy?
    Like other ecommerce platforms that handle digital content, we have a strict no refund policy except in rare exceptions where an appeal process is required for review. This is because your digital download is available to you as soon as you purchase the product.
